SITUATION & CHALLENGE
Executive boards and boards of directors decide on initiatives whose foundations are produced in the middle of day-to-day business – often under time pressure, rarely from a single source, almost never with distance. An ERP project in one group company had no reliable overall view. Optimisation initiatives ran side by side, without their contributions and overlaps ever becoming visible.
APPROACH
We worked our way into each question, gathered the necessary information from those responsible and tested it against the foundations that already existed. Out of this came material ready for decision for the executive board and the board of directors: overviews, options, recommendations. For the ERP project we created a reliable overall view of content, schedule and cost. In process management we stood at the side of the responsible unit as a sparring partner.
OUTCOME & CLIENT VALUE
The committees decided on foundations that had been tested, made comparable and prepared in the same language. The ERP project became manageable again, its status traceable for the committees. The optimisation initiatives could be laid side by side, and the synergies became visible. The foundations and the outside perspective came from Desigon, the decisions stayed with the executive board and the board of directors.
