GENERAL INFORMATION

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the federal data protection provisions (Data Protection Act, DSG), every person has the right to privacy and protection against the misuse of their personal data. The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

This website is hosted by Wix.com Ltd. Wix processes the technical data arising from your visit to this website on our behalf. Information on data processing by Wix is available at www.wix.com.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g., when communicating by email) can have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of the data from access by third parties is not possible.

This privacy policy informs you which data we process when you use this website and for what purpose. Where processing requires your consent, we obtain it separately. This website can generally be visited without registration. Data such as pages accessed, names of retrieved files, date, and time are stored on the server for statistical purposes without this data being directly related to your person.

As far as personal data (e.g., name, address, or email addresses) is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis wherever possible. These data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal data refers to all information related to an identified or identifiable person. A data subject is a person whose personal data is processed. Processing includes any handling of personal data, regardless of the means and procedures used, particularly the storage, disclosure, procurement, deletion, retention, modification, destruction, and use of personal data.

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law. If and insofar as the EU GDPR is applicable, we also process personal data on the following legal grounds in connection with Art. 6 (1) GDPR:

a) Processing of personal data with the consent of the data subject.

b) Processing of personal data for the performance of a contract with the data subject and for carrying out corresponding pre-contractual measures.

c) Processing of personal data to fulfill a legal obligation to which we are subject under applicable EU law or the law of a country where the GDPR is wholly or partially applicable.

d) Processing of personal data to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person.

f) Processing of personal data to safeguard our legitimate interests or those of third parties, provided that the fundamental freedoms and rights and interests of the data subject do not outweigh these interests. Legitimate interests particularly include our business interest in being able to provide our website, information security, the enforcement of our legal claims, and compliance with Swiss law.

We process personal data for the duration required for the respective purpose or purposes. In the case of longer-term retention obligations due to legal and other requirements to which we are subject, we restrict processing accordingly.

COOKIES

This website uses cookies. These are small text files that allow specific, user-related information to be stored on the user's end device while they are using the website. Cookies make it possible, in particular, to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of the pages, to analyze usage behavior, and also to make our offer more user-friendly. Cookies remain stored beyond the end of a browser session and can be retrieved when you visit the site again. If you do not wish this, you should set your internet browser to refuse the acceptance of cookies.

SSL/TLS ENCRYPTION

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as inquiries you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

SERVER LOG FILES

The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and version

  • Operating system used

  • Referrer URL

  • Hostname of the accessing computer

  • Time of the server request

This data is not assignable to specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of specific indications of illegal use.

CONTACT FORM

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provide, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

We retain this data for as long as necessary to process your inquiry and any follow-up questions, but no longer than two years. Statutory retention obligations remain reserved.

AI TOOLS

In the course of our work we partly use AI-assisted services, among other things to support research and the editing of text and images. Specifically, we use Claude by Anthropic, ChatGPT by OpenAI, Perplexity by Perplexity AI, Gemini by Google and Copilot by Microsoft.

These providers are domiciled in the United States or have a US parent company. Data may therefore be disclosed to the United States, see the section Disclosure Abroad.

Where personal data is processed in this context, this is done in accordance with this privacy policy and applicable data protection law. Client data is passed on to such services only to the extent necessary and permissible for the provision of our services.

Where the services used allow this, we use accounts and settings that exclude the use of submitted content for training purposes.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse the use of this website and to compile reports on website activity. The resulting statistics help us improve our services.

Google Analytics is used only if you have consented to the Analytics cookies category in the cookie banner. The legal basis is your consent, and where the GDPR applies, Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by adjusting your cookie settings.

Google Analytics 4 uses IP addresses only to determine approximate location and does not store them. The data is not combined with other data held by Google. The data collected may be transferred to Google servers in the United States, see the section Disclosure Abroad.

DISCLOSURE ABROAD

To operate this website and to carry out our work, we cooperate with service providers that also process data outside Switzerland, in particular our hosting provider, Google and the providers named in the section AI Tools. In doing so, data may be transferred to the United States.

Such disclosure takes place only to the extent necessary for the operation of the website and for the functions you have enabled, and on the basis of appropriate safeguards, in particular standard contractual clauses. Google has additionally self-certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Under applicable data protection law, you have the right to obtain information about the personal data we process, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request deletion and to request restriction of processing. You may object to processing and withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. Where the requirements are met, you also have the right to receive your data in a common electronic format.

To exercise these rights, please contact Desigon GmbH, Leuholz 14, 8855 Wangen SZ, Switzerland, info@desigon.ch. We may request suitable proof of identity.

You further have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
